Conjugative pili were not known in #Archaea! We determined the cryo-EM structures of mating pili of hyperthermophilic archaea Pyrobaculum and Aeopyrum which grow at > 90°C🔥🔥🔥, and the conjugative pilus of Agrobacterium tumefaciens. 2/8
