I2BC is recruiting new team leaders

The Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC) is a leading research institute in molecular and cellular biology, located in the greater Paris area, and affiliated to CEA, CNRS and Université ParisSaclay. Research at the I2BC investigates how cells function as integrated systems across multiple scales, using a variety of biological organisms and model systems, along four research axes:
architecture and dynamics of cellular structures and associated pathologies;
processing of genetic information and its dysfunctions;
hostmicrobe interactions: infectious diseases and symbiosis;
bioinspired engineering for energy, health and the environment.
Through its
five scientific departments, the institute offers a vibrant, multidisciplinary environment in
Biochemistry/Biophysics/Structural Biology; Cell Biology; Genome Biology; Microbiology; and Virology. All teams benefit
from stateoftheart I2BC technological facilities in nextgeneration sequencing, proteomics, bioimaging, biophysics, structural biology and integrative bioinformatics. Cuttingedge equipment is hosted in BioSafety Level 2 (BSL2), and soon, in BSL3 facilities.

The
I2BC is recruiting new team leaders.

Their selection will be based on the quality and originality of the scientific project, the excellence of the candidate’s academic trackrecord, and the potential to synergize with ongoing research at I2BC. Internal communication is primarily in English and knowledge of French is not a prerequisite.
Special consideration will be given to
multidisciplinary research programs integrating into one or more I2BC research axes, as well as research programs in computational biology, addressing the challenges of biological process modeling and multiscale data integration.
Successful applicants are expected to secure funding as well as a permanent position in France.
The I2BC is committed to offering robust support for earlycareer candidates to secure funding and a permanent position within the French research ecosystem (CNRS, CEA, Université ParisSaclay, Inserm). The institute is currently hosting several junior teams supported by ERCStG, ATIPAvenir and ANR JCJC grants. Midcareer candidates already holding a permanent position in France are also encouraged to apply.
The I2BC will provide the laureates with
laboratory and office space, financial support for laboratory setup, facilitated access to I2BC technological facilities, access to shared laboratory equipment and shared resources for scientific computing, and mentoring.
